Training
Our training utilises an “unlearning” approach - challenging and dissecting what participants think they know or understand about everything Transgender and rebuilding that knowledge using current scientific understanding, before exploring issues, interactions and discrimination. Each training session is accompanied by an “Ask Me Anything” Q&A session.
This approach enables participants to better understand Transgender and Non Binary identities and the issues faced by our community, enabling them with the knowledge and confidence to foster change and drive inclusion within their own organisation. Participant feedback is collated, analysed and provided to the client post session.
All training is delivered by an open, knowledgeable transgender trainer in a friendly and relaxed environment.
We currently offer the following :
Transgender & Intersex Awareness Workshop
Attendees : up to 20
Duration : 3 - 4 hrs depending upon number of attendees
Content : Designed as a complete package for those that have little to no understanding of Transgender people or issues. Ideal for organisations engaged in community work.
This workshop covers aspects of psychology, biology and gender before exploring the topic of Transgender people, interactions, pronouns , different gender identities, common misconceptions, issues and discrimination. Also lightly covers intersex people and understanding relevant equality legislation.
A highly interactive presentation based session with a mix of group work, discussion and exercises.
Introduction to Transgender Awareness
Attendees : up to 20
Duration : 1 - 2 hrs depending upon number of attendees
Content : Designed for organisations with little time or budget for training or management teams seeking a basic understanding.
This session focuses specifically on key points, interactions, pronouns, gender identities, common misconceptions and issues, and also lightly touches on understanding relevant equality legislation.
A less interactive presentation based session than the full workshop.
Bespoke Training
We can design and deliver bespoke training that focuses on particular aspects of transgender awareness, issues and discrimination.

Online Sessions:
We are able to deliver sessions online via either Zoom or Microsoft Teams, including online exercises.
We do however recommend that the number of attendees are limited to 20 maximum, with the recommended being 10 as online sessions tend to take a little longer.
Venues :
We aim to deliver training at the client’s location where possible, however we have access to a number of local venues in Thurrock which can be utilised at additional cost.
